Weekend Fleet

I challenged myself to design a fleet in one day. It didn't go so well, I didn't end up leaving my computer for 4 days. At one point I got up for some water and for a second couldn't remember how to walk. Here's the hard-won fruit of labour.

------------------------------------------------------------

Modular trans-atmospheric shuttle (dropship) - various cargo loads are possible. However, shown here are a squad of 12 heavy infantry with supplies, 3 anti-matter strategic cruise missiles, 2 medium plasma tanks. Have vertical land-takeoff ability.

The bulge section contain artificial gravity wheels.

Extra modules are attached on exterior of the command ship. All ships can be fitted with engine, missile, and engineering attachments.

However, the destroyer is irreplaceable as the fleet's dedicated warship due to it's centermount railgun and intricate system of counter-rotating weights that allow precise aiming. The destroyer also feature two multi-purpose laser turrets, able to fire with adjustable spectrum, power, and rate.

The massive missiles contain nuclear-pumped laser warhead and fusion engines for long-range interception.

The carrier can carry 17 dropships, which if all fitted the same, translates into 34 medium tanks or 204 heavy infantry.

Ships are equipped with a number of drones for external servicing.

Space elevator stations transfer supplies to and from orbit. These important strategic locations are protected by long range particle beams housed in the massive ball turret. 24 ships can dock. Lower storage area contain modules for ship modification. The lower ring provides artificial gravity and planet-view observation parks for station inhabitants.

Punitive strike.
